Get started

A small section is a good first capture.

Start on an ordinary page you are allowed to reuse. Select a component and Copy directly. Choose Preview only if you want to inspect it.

Coming soon to the Chrome Web Store

CopyLook is not available for public installation yet. This website explains the product and planned offer; purchases are disabled. We will add the official Chrome Web Store installation link here when the extension is released.

Watch the real product demonstration or contact support.

Your first copy

  1. Activate CopyLook from its toolbar icon.
  2. Point to a component. Select it without triggering its original page action.
  3. Wait for preparation to finish. Parent or Child adjusts the selection and prepares its new result.
  4. Use Copy in the selection controls to put the full payload on the clipboard. The format selector remembers your HTML, JSX or Tailwind choice. Preview is optional.
  5. Paste into your own destination. Keep the included supporting CSS with the markup.

The default adaptable result preserves available resizing rules. In the optional results window, More → Settings & saved result contains Match source size. Copy stays visible while you inspect Preview, Component code or Supporting CSS.

Use the keyboard

Tab moves between controls and visible links. ↑ and ↓ choose Parent and Child. Enter copies the prepared selection; Escape cancels. The selection instructions show the current preparation or copy status. In a code view, keyboard copying follows the same free allowance rules as the Copy button.

The website has a Skip to content link, visible focus states and an accessible navigation menu.

Understand page access

Start capture by activating CopyLook on the current tab. When an external stylesheet cannot be read, the optional results window offers Read styles → Optional stylesheet access for that specific host. Each host appears once; allowing it reads all captured stylesheets on that host. Successful reads are kept if another sheet fails. You can decline and keep the available capture, with its limitation shown.

Chrome internal pages, the Chrome Web Store and other protected pages cannot be captured. Return to an ordinary website and activate CopyLook there.

Make output fit your project

Compare the pasted result at its captured size and at useful narrower and wider widths. Check linked resources and read capture warnings. Dynamic behavior, inaccessible embedded content and unavailable assets may need work in the destination.
